First section of her 2023 England Coast Path epic adventure complete!!In September last year she walked from Redcar to Spurn Point before deciding to walk the whole coast path.So over just 14 days Alba has walked the total distance of Amble to Spurn Point.In a few weeks we'll be back in Amble and venture north to the border over a week!
This morning we left Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough - Centre Square and headed to Trunk Road. We stayed on this all the way to Redcar. The amount of support Alba got as we pounded the pavement to Redcar was incredible! So many cars tooted their horns,people pulled over to have a photo and donate too. An arriva bus driver pipped too and we met with people along the route with more donations and treats.Then surprise! Ma Ma was there..she had no idea at all.We checked into The Claxton Hotel and off we went to explore Redcar again.Her current wellies are going into retirement when we get home. She's walked and ran them into a smooth sole and we'll order her another pair of them
I can now share that we have collected an incredible £431 throughout the walk from many many people! This will be added into the link when we get home
What an epic week!! Tomorrow we head to Sandsend and are walking to Whitby for lots of treats before heading home.
