Today was the first day of walking! Alba has absolutely smashed it this morning. Setting off just after 4:30am from Wellwood Arms (huge thanks to them for our first night & comfy bed!) We walked 9.6 miles and have made our way to The Drift Cafe to thaw out and fill our bellies.
We had such a warm welcome from the owners too. They fed us all the food and drink we could want for free! A lot of the other customers also spotted what Alba was up to and put money in the donation pot. Incredible!
Alba followed the many signs and our maps too.
With full bellies we headed off on the final miles of the day to our caravan. We were spotted a few times and collected some donations again too.
She smashed it today! Such incredible beaches and coastline to explore along the route as well.
All to raise mental health awareness and raise money for different Mind branches.
We plotted the following route but actually walked a little over 20 miles on day 1!!
